O Freemasons’ Hall fica na Great Queen Street, em um local que tem sido usado para realizar reuniões para maçons desde 1775.
O edifício atual, o terceiro salão maçônico no local, foi construído entre 1927 e 1933 como um memorial para aqueles que morreram em a Primeira Guerra Mundial e foi por muitos anos conhecido como o Memorial da Paz Maçônica.

O custo de construção de £ 1,3 milhão foi financiado por contribuições de Lojas e maçons individuais para o Fundo Memorial Maçônico de Milhões. As contribuições ao Fundo eram voluntárias e eram reconhecidas por uma joia especial comemorativa maçônica, a Hall Stone Jewel, que era prata para contribuições de dez guinéus ou mais e ouro para contribuições de 100 guinéus ou mais. Lojas que arrecadavam em média 10 guinéus por membro tinham o direito de serem conhecidas como Hall Stone Lodges e tinham seus nomes e números inscritos em painéis de mármore comemorativos.
O Freemasons’ Hall é um marco para os londrinos e um farol para os visitantes. Uma das poucas obras-primas originais de Art Déco ainda usadas para o propósito pretendido, é a sede da Grande Loja Unida da Inglaterra e o terceiro salão a ocupar a Great Queen Street desde 1755.
